ABOUT
Tara Rose Toner grew up in Montecito, California. From an early age she was recognized for her artistic skill by her instructors and awarded Most Artistic at her Santa Barbara Junior High School graduation. She continued to develop her skills as an artist and was accepted into the the Visual Art and Design Academy at Santa Barbara High School. Her passion in art led her to pursue further education outside of the classroom and study under professional artists including Odin K. Smith of Cape Cod, Jordan Pope of Montecito, and Duane Unkefer of Santa Barbara, amongst others. Midway through completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at California Polytechnic State University with a major in Studio Art and Design, she worked under couture fashion designers of Rodarte, Kate and Laura Mulleavy, in their Los Angeles, California design studio as well as traveling with Rodarte to New York to work during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. She completed her Bachelor Of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art along with being featured in a group showing at Cal Poly's University Art Gallery in San Luis Obispo, California. Since graduating, she has held solo exhibitions throughout Santa Barbara, California. She continues to work, study, create, and show work in her hometown of Montecito, California.
