I love this time of the year in Santa Barbara. The wildflowers are blooming and bees are buzzing. I spent two hours barefoot in the sunshine painting the blossoms at the Douglas Preserve while my friend who was visiting town walked her dog. I am so grateful everyday for the natural beauty and special places like this one, that are protected in our community.
